hi there my family wants to book a cruise on the ship fantasy for may 2015. do we have to book our flights through Disney cruise line or can we book our own flights? thanks for all help

Welcome back, Ricky! When the Fantasy's later 2015 itineraries come out, it sounds like you'll be all ready to book! That's great because prices tend to be best when the itineraries are first released, so you're ahead of the game already!

Flights do not need to be booked through Disney Cruise Line, though they're happy to do so if you'd like. Personally, I prefer to book my own flights, so I can take my time to watch out for the best deals and the schedule that best fits our family's schedule for the trip. Some guests, however, prefer to take all the hassle out of planning and simply let Disney take care of all of the details, so that's great too!

If you're flying in the day of the cruise and leaving upon disembarking, take advantage of Disney Cruise Line's ground transportation too, if you're not already aware of that. It's so nice to simply show up and let Disney take the bags and do the driving! There is an additional cost of $35 per person each way, but in my book, it's well worth it, as it really makes for an easy, stress-free transition from land to sea and back again, Ricky.

Stop back with any other questions you have as you continue to plan! I'm happy to help!
