My family will be visiting WDW soon and we will be taking in a full day at Animal Kingdom. I am wanting to participate in the Maharajah Trek, but am fiercely afraid of bats. Can you please tell me if there is any way for me to join my family in this?

    Hi Chasta,

I have good news for you: You can easily skip the bats! To see them, you walk into a screened pavilion along the trail. If you are not interested or afraid, you can simply bypass that area. The huge bats are behind screens, nibbling on fruit, but there is no reason to make yourself uncomfortable. Just skip it.

I understand your concerns. I find birds creepy, so I zip through the aviary on the trek as quickly as possible.

But I love the tigers. You usually get a really close view of those beautiful animals. If you visit early in the morning, especially if it is cool, they are often walking around near the glass. They also are more active near the end of the day.

I hope that helps. Please let me know if I can answer any other questions, and enjoy your time with your family!
