My family and I will be visiting WDW Magic Kingdom this August but, not staying at the Resort. #1: Is FastPass+ necessary to purchase? #2: Rides stating "FastPass+" are for those who have passes only? #3: Can FastPass+ be used for Meet & Gree

    Hi Elizabeth!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Every ticketed Guest to Walt Disney World Resort can take advantage of the FastPass+ system and it is included in your price of admission. You will be able to select up to three FastPass+ reservations for attractions or entertainment events in advance of your trip. Since you are not staying at a Walt Disney World Resort hotel, you will be able to begin making your reservations 30 days in advance. FastPass+ availability is limited, so I recommend snagging them as soon as possible! You will manage and plan all of your FastPass+ reservations though your My Disney Experience account. Simply link theme park tickets for each Guest in your party and then you will be able to begin reserving your FastPass+ spots!

There are a variety of character meet 'n' greets where can use the FastPass+ system. One of my favorites is Meet Mickey Mouse at Town Square Theater. This line can be very long, so I love to use FastPass+ so we can quickly get in to chat with Mickey! Any of the attractions or entertainment events that utilize the FastPass+ system also have traditional standby queues available. For the most popular activities, you will find that the standby queue can be quite long. A FastPass+ reservation will allow you to utilize the FastPass+ queue which is generally quicker to navigate, allowing you more time to play in the parks!

Let us know if you have any other questions as you prepare for your trip! T-T-F-N, ta ta for now!
