My family is visiting WDW for the first time in October 2016. I am trying to figure out if I should get our Magic Bands shipped to my house or just wait to get them when we arrive? Also, any suggestion for first time visitors welcome!!!

    Hi, Chrystal!

Welcome to Disney Parks Moms Panel!

Planning your first trip to Walt Disney World? Oh my goodness, how exciting!

Your question about MagicBands is a great one, too. My family loves the added excitement some magical mail brings when our MagicBands arrive prior to a stay in Walt Disney World. No matter what else we have done to plan, actually seeing those bands in person makes the upcoming trip that much more real!

In addition, if you plan on using Disney's Magical Express upon arrival at Orlando International Airport, having that MagicBand on your wrist will make your transition to Disney's complimentary resort transportation a breeze...and hands-free! Seriously, not having to put down a bag to dig out a packet of papers for our transportation information has been so wonderful. You're going to love that feature!

As for your first trip, pick up complimentary celebration buttons. Cast Members will be sure to welcome you to this very special place throughout your stay. These buttons are available at Guest Relations in any park and Disney Springs and at your WDW Resort hotel's check-in area.

Also, download the free My Disney Experience app, and set up your FastPass+ options as soon as you can.

Send more questions as you plan your first trip, Chrystal! We love to help!
