My family will be visiting WD Feb 1-8 and it will be our first family vacation to Disney. I'm just wondering what we can expect for crowds and wait times for rides? We aren't staying on the property so we don't have access to FP+

    Hi, Jen!

I’m so happy to hear you’re planning your family’s first vacation to the Walt Disney World Resort, and February is a wonderful month to visit. Crowds tend to be lighter, hotel prices are generally lower, and the Orlando weather is typically mild that time of year with high temperatures in the upper 60s and low 70s.

The theme parks aren’t expected to be very busy the week of your visit. The crowds will be lightest on the weekdays and on Super Bowl Sunday (Feb. 2) so you should have lots of opportunities to see and do everything on your list. Speaking of which, I suggest that your family check out the Walt Disney World website prior to arrival to create a list of must-dos and a plan of attack for each day. The resort is huge and has so much to offer, so having a touring plan will help make the most of your days.

I hope this helps, Jen. Please visit us again as your pixie-dusted planning continues!

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
