My family and I will be visiting Walt Disney World for the first time next July, shortly before my 50th birthday. I want to do something special, maybe the Backstage magic Tour or the Keys to the Kingdom Tour. They're pricey though. Are they worth it?

Welcome to the Moms Panel Marty!  We're super glad you're hEAR!

I LOVE the tours that Disney offers!  The Backstage Magic Tour and Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour are two of my favorites.

I've recently answered questions on details for both of these tours.  Click here to see details on the Backstage Magic Tour.  Click here to see details of Disney's Keys to the Kingdom Tour. Let me know if you need more info.

At first glance, the tours do seem a little pricey.  However, you get to visit some places and hear some incredible stories that you likely would not otherwise get to do unless you become a Cast Member.  I felt like such a VIP and walked away feeling so pumped and full of Disney knowledge.  I loved hanging out with a Cast Member all day.  If you are big Disney fans, tours are great.

While I don't think taking these tours is something you'd do every trip, I do think both are worth the money to do it at least once and a great way to do something special for your 50th birthday.

When booking, ask if any discounts are currently available. I have gotten discounts in the past with my Chase Disney Visa Card & with my Annual Pass.

Wishing you minnie magical birthday memories :-) Allison
