My family and I are going to be visiting the parks the first two weeks in Oct. 2016. We're wondering how the crowds well be in the other parks knowing full well that the food and wine festival is going on in Epcot.

    Hi Ashleigh!

Thanks for your question. One of the things Guests of Walt Disney World wonder about most often is what times of year the crowd size is smallest. It is so hard to know and even more difficult to predict. I can tell you, though, that of all times of year I have visited the Parks with my family, September/October is by far our very favorite. It is the time when we have found the crowds most manageable. You have a good thought too, that the other Parks might be less crowded during Epcot International Food and Wine Festival. I think you very well could be right about that.

One more thought: take advantage of Advanced Dining Reservations, FastPass+ and Extra Magic Hours to help minimize the effects of the crowds, no matter what time of year you are there. These are fantastic ways to make the most of every minute you are visiting Walt Disney World.

Please come back if we can help with any other planning tips or ideas. Have a magical day!
