My family will be visiting DW for the first time in July, I have two teenage girl daughters and wanted to know if there is a dress policy for the water parks? Are two piece or string bikinis allowed?

Hi Winston! Your teenage girls are going to love the water parks at Disney World! Bikinis and two-piece bathing suits are not prohibited at Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon; however, Disney does recommend one-piece bathing suits for guests who plan to experience the more thrilling rides at the water parks. On my family's last trip to Typhoon Lagoon, we saw quite a few ladies temporarily lose their bikini tops in the wave pool, so your girls may find one-piece suits easier to keep in place. Disney does prohibit wetsuits on the slides and swimwear with exposed metal or rivets. Also, water shoes are recommended, especially at Blizzard Beach, because the pavement can get quite hot.

The Guest Services pages for Blizzard Beach and Typhoon Lagoon detail the dress code and provides lots of other useful information.

Wishing you a magical first trip to Disney World! Come visit us again at the Moms Panel if you have more questions! We're happy to help!
