    Susan from NJ Asked

My family will be visiting Disney World New Year's Eve and staying at a Disney hotel. Where is a good place to go to celebrate the new year with some 22-24 year olds?

    Susan,

New Year's Eve is a big day at the Magic Kingdom. There are a lot of things open, a lot of festivities, and a lot of fireworks.

My favorite place to recommend to you would be the Epcot World Showcase. Why? Typically New Year's Eve is a long celebration for most. We usually start at dinner, and as the holiday would require, stay out past midnight. With a singular bar or restaurant, you are there for a good 4 to 6 hours. That can stretch out quite a bit. But with the Epcot World Showcase you can grab dinner at a table service restaurant, or share appetizer-like tidbits from many of the national pavilions, whichever matches your groups interest. You can change up the scenery, do some shopping, try drinks from different countries, and generally keep it "fresh" all night long. And of course you end it with what I consider to be the best fireworks anywhere in the world.

The setting is fun and festive, but safe and clean. You are celebrating with others who are ringing in the new year, but your group has plenty of opportunities to enjoy the night just amongst themselves. Finally, the ride home is safe, and sadly that is not always the case with New Year's Eve in many places.

    I hope that this helps?

    Have a magical vacation!
