My Family and I will be visiting Disney World in May. I have a 2 year old, will he pay full admission for theme parks and activities? Is it best to get the " speed pass" when small children are involved?

    Hi Amy!

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. You're going to have so much fun exploring Walt Disney World with your little one!

For entry into the parks, children under the age of 3 do not require a ticket. If you are staying on property though, he will still need to be on the reservation. The perk to this is he'll get his very own little MagicBand, even though he won't have tickets loaded on it, it's still fun for them to match the rest of the family! In addition to free entry into the parks, your little one will also eat at any of the Walt Disney World Resort buffet restaurants free of charge too. This was a great perk for us traveling with my little one because he has quite the appetite!

The FastPass+ System is complimentary to any Guest visiting Walt Disney World that has purchased their park tickets. Guests staying off property can reserve their FastPass+ Reservations 30 days prior to each day of their visit. Guests staying on property have the benefit of scheduling all their FastPass+ for the entire length of their trip 60 days prior to arrival. For FastPass+ Reservations, since your little one will not have a ticket he also does not require a FastPass+ to board an attraction. I definitely recommend taking advantage of this so you spend less time in line with a toddler and more time enjoying everything Walt Disney World has to offer! To do this you will want to login or create an account for My Disney Experience and link your park tickets to your account. This way you can begin choosing the attractions, shows, or character greetings you'd like to make a FastPass+ for.

Please let me know if you have any other questions before your trip!
