My family and I are visiting Disney in January. I just started choosing my FastPass+ options. Is it necessary to do it all ahead of time though, or can you still use the bands to make choices at the actual rides when you go to the parks?

    Hi, Julian!

Have you heard the saying "The early bird gets the worm?"  Well, the early bird gets the best FastPass+ selections! While you can make your FastPass+ choices at the parks at kiosks or on your smart phone, making your choices as soon as possible will give you the most options.

Go ahead and book your FastPass+ choices now.  If you want to change, you can do so whenever you wish.  For example, if you miss a FastPass+ time, go ahead and re-book for later in the day.  The only thing is, your choices will be based on availability.

I book my FastPass+ based on my dining reservations.  If I have a dinner reservation, I will book one FastPass+ before dinner then two after.  I usually will not book early morning FastPasses as lines are usually fairly short early in the day. I like to use my valuable passes for the busiest times of the day.

If you need any help scheduling your times or planning your itinerary, let me know!  I have been through this a few times so I have actually come to enjoy putting my days in order. It is like some crazy, magical puzzle that eventually fits together perfectly.  Have fun planning your fun days in Walt Disney World!
