My family and I visited WDW in Aug 2013 and received MagicBands.. We are now booked for another trip in Aug 2015 - again staying onsite. Will we get new MagicBands (and how?) And when will they showup in MyDisneyOnline? Currently only the old ones show.

    Hi Huzaifa,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!  We're so happy to hear from you again, and congratulations on your upcoming Walt Disney World vacation.  Woo hoo!

Each member of your family will receive a new MagicBand for each vacation at a Disney Resort hotel that you book.  It has been my experience that the option to customize your family's new MagicBands shows up on your My Disney Experience account on our around the 60-day mark before your check-in date, which is also the same date you can begin making your FastPass+ selections.  If you'd like those shipped to your home before your vacation, you have until 10 days before your check-in at your Disney Resort hotel to customize the MagicBands by choosing the color and name you want to appear on each one.  If you make those customizations between 5 and 9 days before your arrival, those will be waiting for you when you check in to your Disney Resort hotel.  If, for some reason, you don't make any customizations, don't worry - you'll receive non-customized MagicBands or cards when you arrive that works just the same as a customized version.

The MagicBands you have from your previous Walt Disney World vacations can also be used interchangeably (as long as you haven't deactivated them) during your future trips.  I have a number of different colors myself and like to take a few of them each time I visit Walt Disney World so I can match them to my outfit each day.

I hope that helps and wishing your family a magical vacation, Huzaifa!  Please write back if we can help sprinkle any more pixie dust on your upcoming trip.
