Hello, a family of 6 will visit Disney World Parks in July 2017. We are not staying at any of the Disney resorts, but would love to purchase a Magic Band for everyone. We do have a Chase Disney credit card. Can we link the magic band to our Chase card?

    Hi Gylles!

Thank you for bringing your question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel. The MagicBands at Walt Disney World are so incredibly convenient, that I understand why you would want them for your trip.

MagicBands can be purchased online at the DisneyStore.com or using the Shop Disney Parks App. Since you will be staying off property, if you do purchase MagicBands seperately you will be able to load your theme park tickets onto them and your FastPass+ reservations. Unfortunately you will not be able to have charging capabilities on them. When a Guest uses a MagicBand to pay for something, it doesn't actually charge the credit cart in that instant, it bills it back to the Guests room that they are staying at on property. When they check out the accrued charges are then billed at once to the credit card they have on file. Since you won't have a room to tie back to, this won't be an option.

Since you are Disney Visa Cardmembers, make sure you check out some of the awesome perks you have while visiting. My personal favorite is the Private Cardmember Character Experiences and my husband's favorite is the dining discounts (ha!).

Please let me know if you have any other questions!
