My family has two 2012 dates to choose from for our Disney vacation. March 2nd - 7th or April 20th - 25th. My daughter turns 6 on March 25th, so my preference is March, but most all Florida colleges are on Spring Break that week 3/5-3/9. What week is best

    Hi Tracy!

I'm excited that you will soon be on your Walt Disney World vacation, whichever dates you choose!

I am assuming that you are referring to crowd patterns, when you ask which is the best week to visit.

Typically, March 2nd-7th has average attendance at the parks, which means it is not the least crowded time, but is still quite manageable.  April 20th-25th could fall partly between one of the most crowded times of the year, and average attendance.

If weather has a bearing on your decision, March has average high/low temperature of 79/56, with average rainfall of 3.5 inches.  April has high/low temperatures of 83/60, with average rainfall of 2.4 inches.

However, I would love to celebrate my birthday at Walt Disney World!  Your daughter could collect a free "Today is my Birthday" button, which would attract a lot of attention for her during the day (even if you are not there for the actual birthday, you could choose a special day on which to celebrate). The free button can be collection from Guest Relations at the theme parks, or the front desk or concierge desk at the resorts.

If there is anything else you would like to know, which would help you make your decision, please come back and ask me.  I would love to help you plan your magical vacation!
