Christmas at resorts

My family and I have been trying to book a dining reservation for Artist Point from November 17-24. That whole week is unavailable, are they being refurbished?

    Hi Jamie,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! We sure appreciate you bringing your question to us. I got a big smile on my face thinking about Disney’s Wilderness Lodge during the Christmas season – it is breathtakingly beautiful with all the decorations on display, and really feels like a peaceful retreat with its serene landscaping and theming.

Jamie, I also checked the week of November 17-22 and didn’t find any availability at Artist Point. I reached out to a Cast Member, who checked the refurbishment schedule for us; at this time, she does not see any refurbishments on the schedule for Artist Point in November 2018. She checked around and thought that perhaps the restaurant is booked up because that is Thanksgiving week.

My best advice for you is to keep checking for dining reservations. Often people book more dining reservations than they intend to keep and will begin releasing them as they get closer to their vacation dates and start to solidify their plans. I’m also visiting in November and have a dining reservation I didn’t manage to snag, so I’ll be right there with you. I’ve got my fingers crossed that you get some pixie dust sprinkled on your vacation and find those reservations sometime soon!

Jamie, keep an eye on the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about Artist Point, as well as about Thanksgiving and holiday activities coming to the parks and resorts. Enjoy every minute of your holiday trip to Walt Disney World – it is such a special time to visit!

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
    Robyn
