After many family trips to WDW, our son is spending a year there as a CR at Epcot. We are planning a trip and hope that he can spend some nights in our room. How do we book that, and which resort do you recommend so that it's convenient to his housing?

    Hi Tricia,

It's very exciting when your child is accepted into the College Program at Walt Disney World.  It will be the opportunity of a lifetime and one that he will look back on fondly through the years.  From your question I think you may be asking about the cast member room discounts?  If so, your son will be given all of that information during orientation including the website where these rooms can be booked, pricing and black-out dates.  Most of the resorts can accommodate three adults so I don't see a problem with him spending nights in your room.

The housing for the college program Cast Members is off-site near the intersection of I-4 and SR 535.  The closest resort to that location would be Disney's Saratoga Springs which is near the Downtown Disney area. No matter where you stay, though, an automobile would be required to get back and forth from the resorts to Cast Member housing.

My daughter was in the College Program a few years ago, so I do have some knowledge in that area.  If you should have any other questions, I would be more than happy to answer what I can based on my experience.

Congratulations to your son!  I know that you are excited for him and extremely proud.

    Also a proud mother,

    Leanne T.
