My family is traveling to Disneyland for the first time in June. We are so excited! Which airport should we fly into?Thank you for all your help!

    Hi, Peggy!

I’m so glad to hear that you and your family will be visiting the Disneyland Resort for the first time this summer! It’s a very special place, and I think you’re going to fall in love with the rich history and magic of “The Happiest Place on Earth.”  After all, you’ll be walking in the footsteps of Walt Disney himself!

The closest major airport to the Disneyland Resort is John Wayne Airport (SNA). At just 12 miles away from the resort, it’s probably the most convenient. There are airport shuttles available, or you could take a cab if you prefer. There are some car rental companies there as well.

Another option is Los Angeles International Airport (LAX), which is a 35-mile drive from the resort. It’s busier than John Wayne Airport, but it has more flight options and several car rental companies are located on the property. Because it’s a larger airport, you may be able to find better deals or more preferable flight itineraries depending on where you live.

Please visit the Transportation page on the Disneyland Resort website for more information. I hope this is helpful, Peggy, and that you have a pixie-dusted first visit to the Disneyland Resort! Please don’t hesitate to ask me any other questions you may have as you continue to plan your vacation.

    Wishing you magic,
    Courtney
