    Deidre from NY Asked

My family and I will be traveling to Disney in November 2018. Our son will be just turning 3. How should we go about dining and best attractions for him as well as us as a family?

    Hi Deidre,

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. We're always excited to help guests with their planning questions. I see you are getting a head start on this process. Your son is going to have a fantastic time and there will be so much magic and wonder to explore.

I would suggest visiting the planning page for traveling to Walt Disney World with little ones. This official page offers sample itineraries, lists of attractions best suited for small children, and a downloadable guide with more tips.

Once you have determined your travel dates, and as it gets closer, you will want to choose the right resort hotel for your family. These are my suggestions for resort hotels that were favorites of my family. In the deluxe category, we always enjoy Disney's Wilderness Lodge. My boys love the rustic feel and bunkbed option in some of the rooms. Also, one of our favorite restaurants is there. Whispering Canyon Cafe has hearty fare with a fun and interactive atmosphere. The kids can even play with Lincoln Logs while they wait for the table to be ready. In the moderate category, might I suggest a pirate themed room at Disney's Caribbean Beach Resort. Finally, in the value category is Disney's Art of Animation with its Cars themed section of rooms and amazing Finding Nemo themed pool.

Since your travel timeframe is still over two years away, there is sure to be even more exciting new attractions and dining to be added. Please feel free to come back with more questions. We'd love to help you further. I hope these links get you started on the right foot.

    Happy Planning!
