Hi! Our family will be traveling to Disney in March. We have not been to Disney since the magic bands and fastpass+. Are we able to get more passes once we get to the park? Also, would we really need to use one of our passes for the parades and shows?

    Hi Pat,

Are you in for a special treat!  MyMagic+ takes Walt Disney World vacations to a whole new level!  Currently Guests may select three initial FastPass+ selections for each day of their theme park visit.  Once the three initial FastPass+ selections have been used (or the time has expired), they may make one more FastPass+ selection at a time.  The subsequent FastPass+ selections are rolling FastPass+ selections.  You may continue to make one more rolling FastPass+ selection after you use each one.

You do not need to make FastPass+ selections for parades and/or shows in order to experience them.  However you might need to arrive a bit earlier to get a seat than if you had FastPass+ selections for them.  If you are planning on making one of your initial FastPass+ selections for an evening fireworks show, you will not be able to make a rolling FastPass+ selection until after you have used it and often that time is close to park closing.  Therefore in this situation you should weigh which is more important - the evening show or rolling FastPass+ selections?

I hope this information is helpful to you Pat!  Please let me know if you have any further Disney vacation planning questions.  We are always happy to help!

    Blessings,
