Three Generations Aboard Ship

My family will be taking Disney transportation from a WDW resort to Port Canaveral for our cruise. I'm not sure how the timing will work out, and how long we will have to wait to board, but is there a place in the terminal to purchase lunch?

    Ahoy Pam!
Your travels from the Walt Disney World Resort to the Disney Cruise Line Terminal will be smooth sailing as you ride comfortably in a Disney Cruise Line motor coach.  Unfortunately I can't give you an exact pick-up time because it does vary from sailing to sailing depending on where Guests are staying pre-cruise, but I can give you an idea of what to expect.  The day before you head out to sea, a written letter or voicemail will be left in your resort room with specific pick-up time and location.  Usually luggage is picked up separately around 8:00am with Guest departure between 10:00am and 12:00pm.  The ride over to the port is around an hour depending on traffic.  Once you arrive, it doesn't take long to check-in and make your way through the golden Mickey ears to the gangway!  Lunch is not offered in the terminal, but there will be plenty of delicious options on the ship so I would eat a big breakfast and/or bring snacks along so you enjoy your first lunch onboard!  Also, be sure to keep any important documents, medications and your swimwear and sunscreen in your carry-on because your luggage won't arrive until later that afternoon.  My crew always wants to hit the pool deck after lunch so it is nice to have our suits handy!
I hope I've given you a better idea of what your cruise embarkation morning will look like for your family, Pam.  If you have further questions, please let me know!
    Have a magical day!
