My family and I are staying at Coronado Springs, and my mom, who lives in Florida will be coming for the day to Magic Kingdom with us, and not staying at the hotel. Will she be able to park (as a guest) at the hotel & ride the bus with us to MK?

Hello Rachel!  Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel.

Whenever I approach an inquiry that deals with Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel property and those staying off property, the answer usually revolves around Walt Disney World Resort doing all they can to accommodate the needs and desires of their on-property Guests and open communication.

In dealing with this scenario, the Cast Members at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort are focused on making your stay Endlessly Magical and ensuring that you are able to apply all of the benefits afforded to Guests staying at the Resort Hotels. If you inform the Front Desk that you have people visiting you at the Resort Hotel and provide a license plate number, they will be able to provide security with information that grants your visitors access to the Resort Hotel parking.

Please note that it is generally frowned upon for visitors not staying at a Resort Hotel to use the amenities (such as poll areas).

As far as using Disney transportation to travel to Magic Kingdom, the Complimentary Resort Transportation system is available to all visiting Guests regardless of whether they are registered at a Resort Hotel.

As a Guest staying at a Resort Hotel, you also have the option of driving to the Magic Kingdom with your visitors and using the complimentary parking at Theme Parks afforded as a benefit to Guests staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel, if you prefer.

    Have a Magical Vacation!
