Family checking in at Art of Animation

Hi! My family is staying at Art of Animation from 11 to 17 Jan, and we bought tickets for 5 days. We'll only receive our bands at the hotel (we live abroad), but we would like to go to the parks before that. Can we pick up the bands before checking in?

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Patricia! I’m glad you’re hEAR! You’ll adore Disney’s Art of Animation Resort with its larger than life characters and lifelike details. I stayed in a CARS suite this past fall and the Radiator Springs backdrop was like an attraction in itself!

Since you are guests from abroad, you’ll pick up your MagicBands at the Front Desk. When you arrive via Disney’s Magical Express, you can enter the Front Desk line and check into your resort, add pin numbers and charge cards to your MagicBands (adults can set a limit to each child’s MagicBand) all while letting the Resort know you have arrived. Afterwards, you can don your MagicBands and leave your luggage with Bell Services. Then, you’ll be full speed ahead to the parks. If you’ve completed Online Resort Check-in, you will be notified via text or email when you room is ready, and your luggage will be carried by the bellhops right to your room. It was a seamless transition for me last October with this same process when I came to celebrate the magic with friends. We were toasting a brew at the new Baseline Taphouse Brewery and sharing hugs when my phone rattled in my pocket that our room was ready! Of course, we made sure to take a few spins on Toy Story Mania before heading back to the Resort for our nighttime routines and a quick dinner at Landscape of Flavors.

If there is anything else I can help you with as your magical vacation draws nearer, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
