Hi With my family (7 and 5 sons) we are going to visit disney world in August 2018 Can we still meet cruz ramirez? Is there a chance to meet lighting mc queen and Moana? Thanks Roberta

    Hi Roberta,

Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, and thank you for your question. My family loves character experiences – they’re a wonderful way to really feel the magic come alive at Walt Disney World Resort!

As of right now, Cruz Ramirez can be found training racing hopefuls in Pixar Place at Disney’s Hollywood Studios; look for her parked just past Toy Story Mania! (Snack tip: I never visit Pixar Place without a stop to the Joffrey’s Coffee & Tea stand for one of their legendary pink donuts.)

You can say "ka-chow!" to Lighting McQueen in the Cars section of Disney’s Art of Animation Resort, along with Mater, Flo, and other Cars pals. If you are staying at a Walt Disney World resort hotel, you are welcome to visit, although you will not be allowed to use the pool unless you are staying there.

As for Moana, we are still waiting for the castle to call her back. She has been spotted at Walt Disney World in the past, but her wayfinding soul has her out voyaging with her people. She “knows the way” back to Walt Disney World, so I’m hoping she’ll be back in time for your visit.

Roberta, August will be here before we know it, but there is still lots of time for things to change at Walt Disney World, so I encourage you to follow the Disney Parks Blog for announcements about new experiences. A fun way to find characters is to search for them using your My Disney Experience App - using the Characters option in the interactive park map, you can see who’s available, their times, and where they are located.

    Wishing you a magical vacation,
