My family and I are setting sail on May 12th from San Diego on the Wonder! We want to see the Frozen show, is it necessary to reserve a seat before we board or is it first come first serve, and also are there several showtimes or only one?

    Ahoy, Tara!

In just a matter of days, you'll be setting sail from the beautiful city of San Diego on the newly reimagined Disney Wonder. I'm so excited for your crew to experience an amazing vacation aboard Disney Cruise Line!

My family cruised on the Disney Wonder back in February, and we loved all the new enhancements added to the Disney Wonder since our Alaskan sailing in 2015. And we are still talking about two of them...Tiana's Place and Frozen, A Musical Spectacular! We were in complete awe of every detail of this show-the elaborate sets, the amazingly talented performers, the gorgeous costumes and the breathtaking special effects! We arrived early (about 30 minutes) since it is first-come, first-served for seating (no advance reservations required for any of the shows onboard) and we did get seats down close to the stage, which I highly recommend. The doors were not opened when we arrived, but the line outside the theater did form quickly after we got there. On our particular sailing, there were three showings of Frozen, A Musical Spectacular. They did a matinee (I believe around 3:00 p.m.) and then the two shows scheduled for the evening. If you have Main Seating dining, you'll see the show after dinner at 8:30 p.m., and 6:15 p.m. will be your show time if you have Second Seating.

The matinee was not advertised until the day before the show, so I'm not sure if all sailings will have this extra option. We were informed the night prior to the show, and it was also listed in the cruise newsletter, the Personal Navigator and on the Disney Cruise Line Navigator app. My best advice is to arrive early no matter which show you attend so you can have the best seat selection!

Thank you for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Tara! Happy packing and please cruise back over with any other last minute questions.
