Our family will be sailing on Fantasy in October with 11yo DD. We are wondering if there will be hair braiding on the ship? This will be our 3rd cruise and DD loves doing this on day 1 for the entire cruise!

    Ahoy, Shalley!
    Welcome to the Moms Panel!

I have a 10-year-old daughter that's also a big fan of hair braiding! She loves being able to swim and play for hours on end without worrying about tangling her long hair. Good news - there are opportunities throughout your cruise to get her hair braided, right on the pool deck!

We sailed on the Disney Fantasy last spring, and there was a hair braiding station set up on Deck 11. All you'll need to do is stop by and make an appointment. She had many braiding styles to choose from, some simple, and some more fancy. I suggest stopping by Guest Services once you board to find out when the braiding station will be available during your sailing.

The charge for hair braids was around $2 per braid, plus tip. It took about 20-30 minutes for my daughter from start to finish, and we loved the result! Remember to use extra sunscreen in between the braids - a tender scalp can burn easily in the tropical sun. My daughter got her braids about halfway through our cruise, and they lasted for almost ten days. She loved being able to come home and show off her "island look" to her friends!

I hope you have a magical time on your cruise, and that your daughter has the time of her life!
