Mom And Son On Run

We have a family reunion w/ 28 of us for 7 nts. We want dinners together and have DDP, will they take each DDP card from us individually even if we sit together? Will they figure tip all together? I want to make this as easy for everyone as possible.

Last year we did a four generation Grand Gathering at Walt Disney World.  We, too, were all on the Disney Dining Plan and ate meals together, seated at the same table in most cases.  At the start of the meal the server took a moment to figure out our dining plan logistics and whose meal should be charged to whose bill.  During our nine day vacation we ate at least one table-service meal together per day.  And you know what?  Each and every server that we had correctly charged our dining plan credits.  We didn't have any problems.

The tip (which is not included in the dining plan) will be figured for the individual bill, not for the entire group.  Each separate family can then pay the gratuity as well as any add-ons (like an extra entree or an alcoholic beverage) as they see fit.  We preferred to charge everything to our room and then just pay it all at one time, but you can also use a credit card or cash.

You won't have to make it easy for everyone; the servers will do all the work for you!
