Hello. My family is about to make reservations at the Polynesian Village Resort for next March. My mother has Leukemia and reoccurring hip issues. Can you recommend a certain standard room/location that will require the least amount of walking? Thanks!

Greetings, Kelsey, and welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel!

I'm so happy to hear that you are planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort. As a Disney Resort hotel Guest, you'll be surrounded by the Disney magic and have the benefit of unique and convenient amenities!

Staying at Disney's Polynesian Village Resort will give you easy access via the Resort Monorail to Disney's Magic Kingdom Park, where you could easily return back to the Resort hotel for some relaxation and a swim.

Disney's fun to use, interactive Resort hotel map affords you a clear layout of this Resort hotel enabling you to make a decision that's perfect for your needs and preferences, Kelsey. The Guest rooms which are very close to the Great Ceremonial House containing dining, shopping, and transportation, would be found in the building named Tonga. The next two closest buildings to the Great Ceremonial House would be Niue and Rarotonga.

Please take a look at some of Disney's Services for Guests with Disabilities to see if any would be of benefit to your mother which may assist in making her visit comfortable and more enjoyable.

Once booked, Kelsey, you can customize your vacation through My Disney Experience online to ensure your bookings for Advanced Dining Reservations, FastPass+ Planning and personalizing MagicBands.

Thank you, and please feel free to consult us with any other Disney vacation planning questions.

    Best Disney Wishes!
