My family and I are planning on visiting WDW on multiple occasions next year. We're planning to get an annual pass. Will we need a separate magic band for the annual pass as well as the hotel reservation...or how would that work? Thanks!

    Hi, Victoria!

How exciting that you've got several Walt Disney World Resort vacations in the works for next year! I think that's the best part of being an Annual Passholder - the fun is limitless! Well, for the year anyway.

We have stayed in several Walt Disney World Resort hotels since we received our Annual Passholder MagicBands and we've received new MagicBands with each different stay. The new MagicBands worked for our room key as well as our ticket media, but our Annual Passholder MagicBands did not work as a room key. I tossed our original MagicBands in our bag when we left home just in case we needed them since there are various parts of the MagicBands that are still undergoing changes and updates.

Keep an eye out on the Disney Parks Blog for any updates!

Thanks so much for stopping by the Moms Panel, Victoria, and I sure hope this helps!

Wishing you and your family a year full of Pixie Dust!
