My family of 4 is planning a vacation to WDW. We need three beds, kids are 20 and 15 yo. I was looking at the family suites in the Arts of Animation, but was wondering if there are any better options. Please advise. Thank you!

Hi Olga! When traveling with older children it does become a necessity to have a comfortable sleeping situation for all. Walt Disney World is a vacation destination for all ages including teens and young adults.

Since you have older children my suggestion is to consider reserving two CONNECTING rooms at one of the  Disney Resorts which will give you four queen beds and two full bathrooms. The connecting door is located inside the room so you can leave that open during your entire stay. Please note that you need to request connecting and not adjoining as those rooms are simply next to each other in a hallway but you must leave your room to get to the other.

It is important to know that Disney cannot guarantee your request of connecting rooms but usually only during the heaviest crowd times does it become an issue. When making your reservation please make sure it is noted that you require connecting rooms. You can also fax a request to your resort no less then a week ahead and no more then about 12 days ahead. And finally reconfirmed your request at check-in. Your wait for the rooms can take longer as both rooms must be cleaned and cleared before you will be allowed to go to the rooms. But in the end it is worth it to get full size beds for everyone in your family.
