My family and I are planning a trip to WDW in either April or December 2018; if we move forward with April now are we able to change our dates to December later if needed or will we have to cancel the entire reservation and start over again? Fees? Thanks!

    Hi Jacquelyn,

Thank you for visiting us today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. How exciting to know you are planning a vacation to Walt Disney World Resort next year!

When you book directly online, through a Vacation Planning Specialist at (407) 939-1936, or via an approved travel agent, you can cancel or rebook your vacation without fees before a certain date, based on the type of reservation. At this time for example, room-only reservations can be canceled or changed without penalties, up to 5 days before your arrival. However, a Magic Your Way Vacation Package would incur a penalty if changed or canceled within 30 days before arrival. If you booked via a third party site like Expedia you may incur fees as they sometimes have their own cancellation terms. Packages include Tickets, but be aware that separate Theme Park Ticket purchases are non-refundable.

One last tip: remember you can book dining reservations up to 180 days before your Check-In and for your entire stay, when you stay at a Disney Resort hotel. But remember to change them or cancel day up to a day before to avoid fees. Happy planning!
