My family and I are planning a trip in May. This will be our first time. Our son is two years old and loves to swim and is nothing but a great big ball of energy. What would you suggest in activities?

    Hi, Amanda!

What a great age to introduce your little prince to Walt Disney World!

Because he's an avid swimmer, I suggest that you check out the pools at the various resorts and pick one where you can envision spending an entire afternoon. Each of the resort pools has its own unique charm, but you might find a feature here and there that really sparks your interest. For example, I recently booked a stay for my extended family at Disney's Animal Kingdom Villas-Kidani Village because we had fallen in love with Uwanja Camp, a water playground at Samawati Springs Pool that's geared toward kids of all ages. Over at Disney's Beach Club Resort, there is the fabulous Stormalong Bay, a Guest favorite, and Disney's Art of Animation Resort features The Big Blue Pool, where you'll hear familiar sounds from Finding Nemo underwater!

Furthermore, definitely carve out some time to visit either Disney's Blizzard Beach or Disney's Typhoon Lagoon. Each one of these spectacular water parks has so many water-centered activities, you can spend a whole day at each one easily. Both have special areas created just for the littlest Guests, too. Typhoon Lagoon's Ketchakiddee Creek and Blizzard Beach's Tike's Peak should definitely be top on your list of things to do while in WDW with a little swimmer.

Send more questions as you think of them, Amanda; we love to help!
