Our family is planning a trip for the first week of December 2020. I have taken the reigns on planning. Wondering when I will really be able to dig in and start seeing dates for extra magic hours, holiday events, etc... Any advice for planning this out?

    Hi Cassie,

Thank you for visiting us today at the Disney Parks Moms Panel. Even if it's over a year away, in no time you will be celebrating the Holidays at Walt Disney World Resort.

It's never too early to start planning a vacation. I have one planned for early next year, but already thinking about following year and even the year after. But where to start? You can already make reservations for next year, and a vacation package is the way to go, since it not only includes a stay at a Disney Resort Hotel but also Theme Park Tickets. You only need to put down a small deposit, and the balance will not be due until 30 days before Check-In.

A Dining Plan is a great way to prepay for your meals which you can add to your package at any time almost right before Check-In. So later in the Spring of next year, you want to think about which restaurants you'd like to discover. You can make advanced dining reservations 180 days before your Check-In and for your entire stay. Guests favorites like Cinderella's Royal Table or Be our Guest Restaurant book right away.

Finally, early next fall will be the perfect time to finalize your plans and decide when you'd like to visit each of the Theme Parks, including taking advantage of Extra Magic Hours. Tickets with Park Hopper Option are the way to go and give your plenty of flexibility. And you can make up to three FastPass+ selections at one of the Theme Parks per day, starting 60 days before your Check-In.

One last tip: the easiest way to keep track of your reservations and details is with the My Disney Experience mobile app. So download it today and happy planning!
