Our family is planning on staying at the Grand Floridian in December sometime, at that time our girls will be 3 and 4. Is it better to stay in the main bldg or the outer bldg? This resort sounds like it would fit our princesses perfectly!

The Grand Floridian is certainly fit for your princesses! With a view of Cinderella's Castle from the resort and the Victorian splendor at every turn, the GF is simply grand.

We've stayed many times in the outer buildings and once in the Main building. All rooms in the Main building are concierge and will thus be priced more expensively. Are they worth it? It depends on your budget. The only time we splurged for the Main building was during our 10th anniversary. We had a room that looked directly out on the marina towards Cinderella's Castle.

However, I really like staying in the outer buildings because I absolutely love the view of the courtyard at night. Strolling the grounds is part of the charm. Walking from our room to the main building to shop, eat and/or catch the monorail is a delightful part of the stay for me. Still, if I could afford it, I'd stay in the Main building in a turret room. That's on my "bucket list"!

My son (now 11) considers the GF his favorite resort. He loves the pool and says the slide is "awesome". We all love the monorail service, restaurants and hearing the sights and sounds from the Magic Kingdom.

Let me know if you have any more questions. Wishing your family a pixie-dusted stay at the GF!
