Our family is planning our first trip to WDW. We have a family of 6 (ages 6, 10, 13, 14) and their grandmother will be joining us. Can you recommend a reasonable resort to accommodate a family of 7? We have so far chosen 2 rooms at PO-riverside.

    Hi Tracy,

Congratulations on your very first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort; you must be so excited!  Be sure to get a "First Visit" Celebration Recognition Button for your entire family when you check-in at your Resort or at Guest Relations in any of the Theme Parks.
I think you have done a great job in choosing your Resort Hotel; Disney's Port Orleans Resort - Riverside is one of my family's favorite places to stay when visiting!  My kids love spending time at Ol’ Man Island Pool and Riverside Mill Food Court is at the top of my list as one of the best Quick Service Dining Restaurants on property. We also enjoy renting a Surrey Bike and cruising along the Sassagoula River while enjoying the beautiful area surrounding the Resort.

Another of one our favorite Resort Hotels is Disney's Yacht Club Resort. You can easily walk to both Epcot and Disney's Hollywood Studios or take a Water taxi if you prefer. You can also catch the Resort Monorail to Magic Kingdom Park from Epcot, giving you access to 3 Theme Parks without needing to use Disney Bus Transportation. Disney's BoardWalk is right nearby too and has great restaurants and fun street performers in the evening. Disney's Yacht Club Resort is a Deluxe Resort Hotel and you would also need to book two rooms in order to accommodate your family. There would be a increase in price from that of a Moderate Resort Hotel.

Please stop back by should you have any additional vacation planning questions!

    Wishing You Many Magical Memories,
