Hi My family and I are planning our first family trip to Disney World, what hotel do you suggested for a 2 boys who are 10 and 4 yrs old. My husband and I are 30.

    Hi Shonna!

Thanks for stopping by the Disney Parks Moms Panel. While we added a princess to our crew a few years ago, the majority of my mommy life has been spent chasing boys. We have three sons, ages 13, 10 and 8, so I am well versed in experiencing Disney with little guys in tow! I have several fun suggestions for you.

My boys loved the giant Buzz Lightyear and Woody from Pixar's Toy Story when we stayed at Disney’s All Star Movies Resort. The larger than life decor throughout the resort made the kids feel like this resort was designed just for them! I enjoyed all the fun photo spots, the convenient food court and the budget friendly price.

If you are looking for a moderate level resort, check out the awesome pirate themed rooms at Disney’s Caribbean Beach Resort. What young swashbuckler doesn’t want to sleep in a pirate ship bed? I’ll admit, these rooms are on my own “must do” list.

For a truly unique resort experience, our family favorite is Disney’s Animal Kingdom Lodge. Where else can you stay with zebra and giraffe right outside your balcony? We love this resort where lush vegetation, amazing African culture and artwork, and delectable dining await. I also have found it to have some of the best bus service of any of the resorts, so getting to the theme parks is always a breeze. You can also book Deluxe Villa accommodations at this resort.

I hope one of these sounds like a good fit for your family. Please come back and let us know what other questions you have as you plan your family’s first trip! We love to help our fellow Guests plan their magical vacations!
