Me and my family are planning a disneyworld trip for summer 2019 and we have all ready started planning but we don't know much about disney we will be bringing a 11 and 7 year old,can you help with any advice?

    Hi Marisa,

I am delighted that you brought this question to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! How exciting that you are planning your first trip to the Walt Disney World Resort. There are several suggestions I will make to help you organize the planning process.  First, I suggest that you choose a resort on property. There are Value Resorts, Moderate Resorts, Deluxe Resorts and Deluxe Villa Resorts. Although each resort category is beautiful, they have different amenities. The deluxe resorts, for example, have more dining options. My family loves to stay at the Contemporary Resort with access to the monorail because it makes getting to Magic Kingdom and Epcot much easier.

Second, I suggest that you take advantage of the advanced planning tools on the Walt Disney World website. Create a My Disney Experience account so that you can link your Resort, Dining, and Fast Pass+ reservations through that account. Make Dining Reservations up to 180 days in advance. Restaurants fill quickly and you may not be able to just walk-in to get service. This is especially true for Character Meals. If staying on property, you can make Fast Pass+ reservations for rides or attractions up to 60 days in advance.

    Have a magical time planning!
