Me and my family are planning a Disney vacation 1-23-1-30-09 and we are a party of 8. I would like to know the best resort we could stay at for the cheapest rate. We would like to have our rooms side by side or connected?

The Value resorts are probably what you're looking for, Laura. The All-Star Hotels (Movies, Music, and Sports) along with Pop-Century will give you the cheapest rate. Another plus: you're visiting during Disney's value season, so rates will already be just what the season denotes: a good value.

Connecting rooms will have doors on the inside of the rooms allowing them to open up into each other. Adjoining rooms are simply next to each other. When you make your reservation, I recommend asking the booking agent to make a note of your room request. Don't wait until check-in as rooms are pre-assigned, like a big jig-saw puzzle so that the hotel can try and accommodate as many guest requests as possible. Keep in mind there are no room guarantees, however, when my family visited the All-Stars a while back, we weren't able to get our requested connected rooms, but were able to get both rooms next to each other.

My family of 6 appreciates Disney's value! Although Ft. Wilderness is our second home, we've enjoyed the resorts for business, reunions and romantic getaways. For me, Disney also means dining: last count, I'd eaten at 55 restaurants around the World! Learn More About Whitney
