My family of 4 (myself, husband, & 2 daughters ages 7 and 5) are going on the 7-night Alaska cruise on the Disney Wonder in August. Will we have any formal or semi-formal dinner nights? Are tuxedos and gowns actually required?

    Ahoy there Mike!
The summer Alaskan voyages are underway and before you know it, it will be your family's turn to experience the magnificent Disney Wonder and the wondrous sights and sounds of these spectacular ports of call!  It is sure to be a cruise of a lifetime for your crew!
On your seven-night sailing you can expect both a formal and semi-formal night.  Although you will see tuxedos and gowns onboard, neither is required.  My husband usually wears a suit or a sport coat, dress shirt and tie with dress pants while I wear a cocktail dress or dressy pants and a blouse.  If your daughters like to dress like princesses, these nights are fun for dressing like their favorite Disney royalty!
I hope my suggestions help with your packing!  If you think of anything else, please let me know!
    Have a "Wonder"ful day!
