My family is leaving for Walt Disney World on the 25th of September,it will be our daughter's first trip. My husband and I have never traveled with a two year old and we are wondering about bringing a car seat for the plane ride down.

    Hi Melissa!

YAAAY!  Your daughter's first trip!  How wonderful!  There are a couple of things to consider with the car seat.

First of all, your daughter is SAFER in a car seat on the plane.  It will also help to give her expectations for her behavior on the plane--the SAME expectations for riding in the car:  staying in the seat, not running around, maybe even falling asleep in it!  ;) Since she's 2, you'll already be paying for her own seat.  Also, make sure your car seat is FAA approved (most are)--just check for that information on the car seat.

If you are renting a car, the car seat will come in handy, as you'll already have her own comfy seat for the car.  If you are taking Disney's Magical Express, then they will not allow a car seat to be used on board the bus.  It will be stored down below.  I hope this helps with your decision!

    Have a magical vacation!
