Our family of 4 (kids 6 and 9) will be going to WDW in June! Our plane lands at 10:15 am on a Monday. Staying at POFQ. We have dinner at Chef Mickey's at 5:30 pm. Looking for best park to visit in our short space of time in the afternoon. Thanks!

    Hey Brad!

Wow, I'm sure your kids are super excited because June is right around the corner!

First off, great job scoring a dinner reservation at Chef Mickey's. The food selection is great and it's awesome seeing the Monorail whizzing by overhead while you eat.

If I were in your shoes, I'd plan to hit the Magic Kingdom after you arrive.  That way, you can take a quick Monorail ride, or even walk, over to Disney's Contemporary Resort for your dinner at Chef Mickey's.

So, you might be thinking, "Well Derek, which one should we do - take the Monorail or walk?"

My first choice would be to take the Resort Monorail because, well, it's the Monorail. Enough said! Disney's Contemporary Resort is the first stop on the resort loop, so it would literally be a 5-minute ride.

However, I threw out the walking option in case the line for the resort loop of the Monorail is really long and you're short on time. There's a walking path adjacent to the Magic Kingdom's bus stop that will lead you directly to Disney's Contemporary Resort. The signs are pretty easy to follow, and it should be about a 10-minute walk.

When your meal is over, I'd recommend walking back to the bus stop at the Magic Kingdom to catch a bus back to Disney's Port Orleans Resort. You'll have had a huge meal and the walk will be nice to help burn off a few of those calories.

However, if you're not in a rush, you can catch the Monorail and ride it around the resort loop until you land back at the Magic Kingdom. From the Monorail station, you can then walk over to the bus stop for your bus back to Disney's Port Orleans Resort.

I hope that helps! If you should have any other questions as you finalize the plans for your upcoming vacation, please feel free to send them my way and I'll be happy to help in any way that I can.

    Best regards,
    Derek
