Family of 4, kids 4 & 6, visiting Magic Kingdom February 9, 2018. Staying off-property. We could only get 1 ADR at BOG at 9 am. EMH 8-9. If / when will they allow all of us to enter park before regular crowds? Will they let all of us in at BOG?

    Hi Shailesh,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! I am impressed with your planning persistence and happy to greet a fellow North Carolinian!

Since it does look like Magic Kingdom has Extra Magic Hours from 8:00 a.m. - 9:00 a.m. on the day of your visit, I am not sure that 9:00 a.m. breakfast reservation will achieve what you hope it will. Typically, we make pre-park opening dining reservations so that we can enter the park before most other guests, enjoy breakfast and then hop in a stand-by line for a ride before other guests are allowed into the park. When we visited last July, for example, we had a breakfast reservation for Be Our Guest at 8:00 a.m., so we were allowed into the park @7:45 a.m.

Since our entire party was on the breakfast reservation, we were all allowed in together. When we arrive, we just ask a cast member to point us to the line for guests with pre-park opening breakfast reservations. If your dining reservation is at 9:00 a.m. and the park will open for resort guests at 8:00 a.m., it will already be somewhat crowded by the time you arrive. My advice would be to keep checking for an 8:00 a.m. reservation. If you can get one for your entire party, be absolutely sure to get there by 7:30 a.m. so that you can get in as soon as they start letting guests in with pre-park opening dining reservations.

Shailesh, walking Main Street, U.S.A. when the park is almost empty is magical. We always stop to take a few photos along the way to the restaurant. On our last visit, we finished eating by 8:45 a.m. and were able to ride Seven Dwarfs Mine Train without a Fast Pass+ because there was no line! Also consider Order-Ahead Dining at Be Our Guest. It will expedite your time at the restaurant so that you can get to the attractions sooner!

Magic, memories and Minnie Mouse hugs,
