My family (kids: 19, 18 15, 13) will be visiting Disneyland for the first time in June 2016. We only have one day so would you still recommend getting the hopper? Can you tell me must see for my kids age group and any strategies for only a one day visit.

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Michelle. I'm so glad to hear you'll be heading to the Disneyland Resort for the first time in June.

As my kids got older, no longer needing to push a stroller, tote around a large diaper bag, or plan our day around naptime,  I find it so much easier to navigate both Disneyland Park and California Adventure. Not long ago, we park hopped in one day in which we started during Extra Magic Hour, stayed in the parks until closing at midnight. Then we continued to shop in the Main Street Emporium and didn't get back to our hotel room until past 1am. Not that I'm recommending you to overextend yourselves, but wanted to assure you that it's both doable and enjoyable to park hop in one day with older children. However, please keep in mind that you're traveling during a busy time when schools are out and the 60th Anniversary Diamond Celebration is still underway. Do expect large crowds and longer wait times for attractions. If you plan to have a table service meal, I'd recommend making an advance dining reservation.

Based on your children's ages, here are some suggestions-

For Disneyland Park: Hyperspace Mountain, Indiana Jones™ Adventure, meet Kylo Ren and Chewbacca at Star Wars Launch Bay, Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, "Paint the Night" parade and "Disneyland Forever" fireworks that immediately follow

For California Adventure: Radiator Springs Racers, California Screamin', Mickey's Fun Wheel (try the swinging gondola version!), Soarin' Over California, and "World of Color - Celebrate!"

I hope you'll find this information helpful as you continue planning. I wish you and your family an unforgettable trip to the Happiest Place on Earth, Michelle. Please visit me on the Panel again if you have more questions.

Meet the Panelist: Kiki, California

I am a wife and mother to 2 children, a 14 year old daughter and 9 year old son. I have always enjoyed going to Disneyland Resort as a child and now that I am a mother, I love watching my children experience Disneyland Resort through their eyes. It is a true delight seeing my daughter wear a ball gown walking side by side with Cinderella or my son jumping gleefully after he defeated Darth Maul in a light saber duel! Learn More About Kiki
