Hi! Family of 6 with 4 kids between the 32-54" ride alone height for T'land Speedway. Is there a way for each of the kids to get to ride (pretend to drive!) and not wait in standby 4 times? Fastpass and use rider switch? We need 4 rides in a row?

Hi there, Stephanie! Welcome back to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! It sounds like you’ll be back to the Happiest Place on Earth in under a month! What an incredible time to visit, as you’ll be arriving to Walt Disney World just a little over a week after the Grand Opening of Mickey and Minnie’s Runaway Railway, so you will be able to be one of the first to experience it!

One of my family’s favorite attractions at Magic Kingdom Park is Tomorrowland Speedway! My youngest is also still too short to drive on his own, but boy does he love to steer while one of us holds down the pedal! The official height restrictions are as follows: “Racers who are at least 54 inches (137 cm) tall can drive their own gas-powered race car. Guests who are at least 32 inches (81 cm) tall may also drive their own cars as long as they are accompanied by someone who is at least 54 inches (137 cm) tall.” Each car typically fits two people most comfortably, but two small children can ride with one adult. My suggestion in order to limit the number of rides would be to ride twice and split up into 2 groups of 3 people per car. Each child could steer one time that way, with the other child helping to push the pedal if they’re tall enough to reach, or simply enjoying the ride!

Each visit to Walt Disney World never fails to provide our family with new experiences, and one of my favorite things is seeing what sorts of attractions my kids have “grown into” between trips! And I know that finally driving their own race car around the Tomorrowland Speedway will someday be a huge milestone for your kiddos as it is for mine!

Stephanie, thank you so much for your question and please do not hesitate to return with any more that you may have in the future!

    See ya real soon!
