My family of 4-kids are 9 and 7-is looking forward to staying at Coronado Springs January 31-Feb. 6. We have a "waterview" room. Does that mean we will be close to the pool?

Hi Cathy! Thank you for directing this question to the Disney World Moms Panel! Water View Rooms at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort may provide guests with views of Lago Dorado, the Dig Site Pool, quiet pools, or small lagoons. Water View Rooms can be located in any of the three separately themed areas of the resort: Cabanas, Casitas, or Ranchos. Cabanas are modeled after rustic Mexican beach resorts. Cabanas in Building 9A are closest to the Quiet Pool area. Cabanas in Building 9B are near the Marina and close to El Centro (the resort's main building). Cabanas in Buildings 8A and 8B are relatively close to The Dig Site, the resort's feature pool. Casitas are three and four story Spanish-style stucco buildings painted in green pastels. Casitas located in Buildings 1 and 3 are the closest accommodations to El Centro. Ranchos are reminiscent of Southwestern cattle ranches featuring pueblo-style architecture. Ranchos are near The Dig Site but farthest from El Centro.

You may ask for a room in any of the three resort areas, but there is no guarantee you will get the specific area you requested. If I had to recommend a single location at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort, it would be the Cabanas in Building 9B due to their proximity to El Centro, views of the Marina, and relative short walk to the resort's main bus stop. In addition, this location is only a moderate walk to The Dig Site. For Marina and Lago Dorado views, request a Water View Room from any of these room blocks: 9500-9507, 9600-9611, and 9650-9657. For views of the smaller lagoon, 4640-4647 and 9640-9647 are ideal. Regardless of which Water View Room you have, you will thoroughly enjoy your stay at Disney's Coronado Springs Resort!
