As a family of 11 (kids age range from 24years-10 months) how is it cheaper/better to stay on Disney property?

    Hi Logan,

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel! Thank you for bringing this question to us. Traveling with a large family can certainly create a budgetary challenge. You know your family and your budget best but I can provide some perspective to help you make a decision.

When we vacation, that time is precious. We prefer staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel because of the many benefits that we get as resort guests. Since we typically fly, we take advantage of complimentary Resort Transportation which we can use to get from the airport to our resort and from our resort to the theme parks and Disney Springs. We also love being able to make our dining reservations for the length of our stay (up to 10 days) 180 days in advance and making our Fast Pass+ reservations 60 days in advance is FANTASTIC. Finally, having access to Extra Magic Hours gives us extra time in the parks.

With a family of 11, I suggest Disney's Art of Animation Resort's family suites. The suites can sleep up to six adults so two suites should be able to accommodate your family. Each suite has a kitchenette and two bathrooms. The main pool here is AMAZING! The Cabins at Disney's Fort Wilderness Resort are also another possibility. The cabins can accommodate up to six adults and they have a kitchen. You could actually do some cooking in the cabins, so that may be more affordable.

Logan, as you consider your budget, remember one of the main benefits of staying at a Walt Disney World Resort Hotel is time - we love using those Fast Pass+ selections to save hours of time in lines! Remember to check the Special Offers page as you plan!
