Christmas at resorts

My family is heading to Disney at the end of November. I was told I needed to go to the Grand Floridian to check out the ginger bread house. Can you tell me about all the stuff that happens around that time?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Claudia! The holidays are a magical time around Walt Disney World Resort. Not only will you see festive decor around the Parks but also in the Disney Resort Hotels. There’s nothing more merry than Christmas trees in the lobby and the scent of boughs in the air!

The famous Gingerbread House at Disney’s Grand Floridian Resort & Spa is something to behold! Not only is it baked by hand every year, it’s also large enough to act as a small store! You can purchase candles and keepsakes commemorating the event. You’ll also be able to find a number of hidden Mickeys on the house each year; something my kids adore doing. Once you pore over this tasty abode, it’s time to visit Disney’s Beach Club Resort. Here, you’ll find a working carousel of gingerbread horses! It’s so beautiful, I almost prefer it to the house! If you need more holiday flare, you’ll want to buy a ticket to Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party, where you’ll see the most happy parade of the season and be able to see snow on Main Street, U.S.A. My son prefers the incredible night time spectacular Jingle Bell, Jingle BAM! In Disney’s Hollywood Studios. The projection show combines lasers, fireworks, lights, music and your favorite holiday characters to wow you in the courtyard from  November 8 to January 6, 2019. It’s well worth an evening in this park!

I know your family will love the festivities of the season at Walt Disney World Resort. If I can help you plan any other aspect of your trip, please let me know. You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
