Hi ,our family will be having our first trip to Walt Disney world in may 2019.my husband is a veteran,is their any discounts available?

Welcome to the Disney Parks Moms Panel, Patrick and family! Thank you for your service to our country; I appreciate it so much! My brother serves in the USCG, and I am proud to share we went to Walt Disney World Resort together and had a blast!

There are certainly a few discounts available for both active and retired military, including Parks tickets, various Resort rooms and the Memory Maker entitlement. The offers are for active and retired U.S. military personnel (including National Guard, Reservists, Coast Guard, the Commissioned Corps of the Public Health Service (PHS), and NOAA). Spouses may also qualify if present valid IDs. You’ll need that military ID when you visit either your Base ticket office or the Shades of Green Resort desk at Walt Disney World to pick up the Military Rate Park Hopper tickets. You also have the option to book a discounted Military Rate Disney Resort Hotel room, with more details here. If you’d like the Memory Maker military rate, you can visit a Walt Disney World Resort ticket window at any park and request it. I highly recommend Memory Maker for it’s professional, magical photos. I have so many amazing memories of my brother and I running the Inaugural Dark Side Half Marathon and traipsing around Magic Kingdom together!

If I can give you some other fun activities to occupy you during your stay like the daily Flag Retreat or perhaps the gorgeous Festival of Fantasy Parade, please let me know You’ve got a friend in me! ~ Lindsey P.
