Hi! We are a family of 4 (girls 6 and 3) coming to WDW July 22-26. We currently have a package booked and are staying the Contemporary w/ a MK view. We are considering switching to the Polynesian. Should we keep things as is? Pros/Cons of each? Thanks

Hi, Yvette!  I think this comes down to the type of atmosphere you are looking for while on vacation.  There are no real cons to staying at either location.  Both are on the monorail, both will offer stunning views of the Magic Kingdom, and both, being deluxe resorts, feature full service dining restaurants as well as counter service options.

The Polynesian is a lush, tropical paradise.  The sweet smell of gardenias wafts through the grounds, and you will really feel transported to a Polynesian island.  You'll find even the lobby is themed to reflect the tropical beauty of the Polynesian islands, and the rooms are decorated in warm, dark woods.

The Contemporary is, as the name suggests, a more contemporary resort.  You'll find it more brightly lit, with sleek, metallic touches in the rooms.  The monorail here goes directly through the resort, which is kind of cool to watch.  You won't find lush, tropical displays here, but rather a very clean, polished look about things.

You really can't go wrong either way.  It just depends on what you're hoping to find when you get to Walt Disney World!
