My family of four would like to visit again this year and stay on Disney property. My son would like to bring a friend. Is there an option to pay extra for a 5th person in a studio? I don't want to have to get a 2 bedroom suite for 5 people.

When you mention the word "studio" I assume that you are staying at one of the Disney Vacation Club villas. Five people are not allowed to stay in a studio room. I myself stayed in a studio at the Beach Club Villas last week. There really wouldn't have been any room for a 5th person to stay there. To get a villa to sleep five, you would need to upgrade to a one-bedroom unit.

If you are looking for another affordable option for housing a group of 5 at WDW, you might look into the new Family Suites at the All Star Music resort. These value rooms sleep up to six people and include a small kitchenette. There are also rooms at the Port Orleans moderate resort that use a trundle bed to sleep a fifth person. Also, most of the deluxe hotels have rooms that will fit a party of 5.
