My family of four and another family of four are traveling together but have different reservations. What is the best way to get rooms close together. We are staying at the French Quarter in October from the 19 to the 23.

    Hi Reid,

Room location requests are not guaranteed, but Disney does make a good attempt to satisfy as many guests as they possibly can.

You best strategy for getting the room type you want is to follow the room request steps outlined by my friend Bret. The key for you will be to have BOTH PARTIES call Port Orleans and make a request to be near each other. When two parties are involved, both should make identical requests to be near each other.

Another good resource for you is found on the independent website blog.touringplans.com. Search there for an article called, "The Art of the Disney World Room Request."

Good luck with your planning. Please let us know if you have additional questions.
